BMW’s Most Ambitious Projects and How They All Turned Out
BMW is a German luxury car maker that was founded in 1916, but its vehicles have been steadily more and more impressive as time has gone on. The company has been around for over 100 years and has produced some of the most iconic vehicles in the world, including the BMW 3 Series and the BMW 7 Series. In addition to these iconic models, BMW has produced many other vehicles over the years. This article explores a few of the different types of vehicles that they have developed over time.
BMW i3
BMW's i3 electric vehicle (EV) was the first to introduce a carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic passenger cell, among other innovations. The electric car has three body styles, two battery sizes, and two different drivetrain options.
BMW Z3 Coupe
The Z3 Coupe was introduced in 1995, and while it wasn’t a huge success, it paved the way for future roadsters. The coupe featured a three-liter straight-six engine that produced 174 horsepower. It was also rear-wheel drive and came with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
BMW Isetta 300
When you think of BMW, the first thing that comes to mind is typically luxury and performance. But in its early history, BMW was actually known for producing small cars—a reputation that's still around today with their Mini line.
BMW X6 M and X5 M:
An avid BMW fan, you’re probably familiar with the X6 and X5 models. These vehicles are the mid-range models in BMW’s lineup. They’re not as luxurious or prestigious as their 7 series counterparts. Still, they offer plenty of style and performance for those looking for a high-end vehicle.
